Easy portability with quick set up and tear down by one person, the 12-inch primary mirror with 1372mm of focal length Truss Tube Dobsonian can be transported anywhere. The superior components include a 2-inch two-speed rack & pinion focuser make for precise focusing. The large bearings on altitude and azimuth offer smooth pointing and stability. With the use of the optional 30mm 82 Degree Series Waterproof Eyepiece, you can visually achieve a true field of view of 1.8 degrees with a 6.7mm exit pupil for amazing ultra-wide field deep sky viewing with a limiting visual magnitude of about 14.2 in optimal viewing conditions.

This is a Generation II telescope. All updates have been performed on this telescope. No telescope type has changed the hobby quite as much as the Dobsonian. Before the introduction of the Dobsonian by John Dobson, the vast majority of amateur telescopes consisted of small telescopes with primitive mechanics - barely enough to see the polar caps of Mars or the rings of Saturn. Larger telescopes, such as the Schmidt-Cassegrain were reserved for the wealthy. The ingenious combination of simple yet effective mechanisms with the greatest possible opening gives the Dobsonian telescope a unique triumphant march around the world. Nowhere do you get as much light for your money like a good Dobson. Disassembly of the scope without tools ensures a trouble-free transport of this great scope even in small cars. The entire structure has been optimized for maximum stiffness with minimal weight. The combination of high altitude bearings with optimized aluminum structures allows fine adjustment flows at high magnifications.

The ideal workhorse for the deep sky observers. A 305mm mirror collects more than 1,800 times as much light as the naked eye. Details on planets and deep sky objects will be visible even for inexperienced observers. Bright star clusters are resolved to the core, and the sight of the terminator on the moon is an unforgettable experience.

Includes 2" focuser with helical gearing and 10:1 reduction; LED Red Dot Finder, collimation assist tool; soft light baffle and two radial main mirror fan for fast temperature equilibrium.

The scope is ready for the use with our optional coma corrector.

We do reserve the right to refuse or refund any order due to unforeseen circumstances, including pricing errors and online ordering errors. Customers whose orders are affected by such unforeseen circumstances will be contacted within one business day.

Receipts

Our products are shipped directly from the manufacturer to your doorstep. This saves us warehousing costs, savings which we can pass onto you! However, this means that your product will typically arrive without an invoice or packaging receipt. Thus, the order confirmation you receive from us via email serves as your official receipt. You will see the order number along the top. If you have lost your receipt or it never arrived, simply contact our customer service team and we will be happy to send you another one.

Cancelling An Order

Once the order is placed with us, we will submit an order directly to the manufacturer on your behalf. This occurs immediately after an order is placed by a customer (7 days a week). Once this step has been completed, Outer Limit Telescopes and thus the customer become financially obligated to purchase the ordered merchandise from the manufacturer. All order cancellations are subject to a 25% cancellation fee. No exceptions. If your order has shipped it cannot be cancelled, but it can be returned under our Standard Return Policy. To cancel an order, please call our helpful customer service experts using the number at the top of the page! Since time is of the essence, it would be best if you called us rather than send us an email. Refunds will be credited to the original payment method and can take up to 72 hours to reflect on your credit card statement.

Sales Tax

Items sold and shipped to destinations in the United States are tax-free. With the exception of New York.

Order Tracking

Your tracking information is emailed to you when your order ships. Orders are tracked using a tracking number and the website on the delivery carrier. If you have any questions, or if your delivery seems behind schedule, our friendly Customer Service Experts are always there to help.

Back-Ordered Items

Occasionally due to popularity of an item, a product is placed on back-order until additional inventory is received. This happens very rarely, and when it does, you will be notified immediately by one of our Customer Service Experts.

Shipping Policy

REE STANDARD SHIPPING - Upon placement of the order, the parcel should ship out within 5 business days. Some products require a signature and some do not, it will depend on the price of the product. If the delivery driver does not feel comfortable leaving the package outside the home, they will keep it at a pickup location and leave you a note or attempt re-delivery at a later date.

Order Confirmation:

As soon as you place your order, you will receive an order confirmation e-mail. This means that we have received your order in our system and pre-authorized your payment method for the purchase. As soon as we receive your order, we automatically reach out to our suppliers to confirm that it is in stock and available for immediate shipment. If your item is on back order or unavailable, we will void the pre-authorization and reach out to you via phone or e-mail. If your item(s) are available for immediate shipment (within five business days), we will process the charges and submit the order for delivery.

If your order is in stock and we process the charges to your payment method, it will ship within five business days from the date of your order. We will send you a shipping notification within 24 hours of your order leaving the warehouse to the e-mail address you provided when checking out. Damages:

Please inspect the packaging of your item(s) when they arrive, if you notice any damage you should make a note of it on the document when signing for delivery. If your item(s) do arrive damaged, please send photos to returns@outerlimittelescope.com, and we will process a return/refund on your behalf.

Returns

Our policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.

All returns require an RMA number ( Return Merchandise Authorization). Please contact us at returns@outerlimittelescope.com or call us at (855) 875-4515 and we will be more than happy to help with this process. No returns will be accepted without an RMA number, no exceptions.

Several types of goods are exempt from being returned. Perishable goods such as food, flowers, newspapers or magazines cannot be returned. We also do not accept products that are intimate or sanitary goods, hazardous materials, or flammable liquids or gases.

Book with obvious signs of use

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.

If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.

Shipping

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.

If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.

Price Match Guarantee

We work very hard to ensure that we offer the absolute best prices online. If you find another online store that offers a lower price then us within six months of your purchase date please let us know and we will refund your original payment for the difference. We want you to feel confident that you are getting the absolute best price for the product you are ordering. If you find that our own website has a lower price for the same item you have ordered within six months of your purchase date will refund the difference as well.
